Hard Enamel Badge
Also known as Vitreous Enamel this is the traditional method of badge making.
The raw material of Vitreous Enamel is a glass powder, each Enamel colour is oven baked at extremely high temperature and air-cooled. A sharpening stone is used to polished off the rugged surface of the molten glass. This baking and stoning process is repeated a number of times for each colour.
Although it is the most time consuming method, it produces the highest quality enamel badge possible. Below are sample images of Hard Enamel badges. |
